KiaMaia - Be Brave

Paikea Kindergarten is situated in the grounds of Whangara School at Whangara. Whangara is approximately 28kms from Gisborne heading up the East Coast.

The Paikea Kindergarten is a brand new purpose built facility.

Whangara is a rural community and has a number of young families raising their children on farms around the district.

The parent committee is extremely passionate and supportive.

The Team of Rowena Chaffey (Head Teacher), Dallas Boyce (Teacher), Rozeeta Sinel (Teacher) and Jaclyn Wilkie (Kindergarten Aide) is  building its relationships with Whānau and continues to enhance communication within the community. Teachers work alongside children to support them to grow, learn at their own pace and express their individuality in this amazing rural environment.
